Brooklyn Zoo Remodel Project

To-the-studs remodel of a 1870 Victorian home in North Adams, Massachusetts. Purchased as an investment property, my functions on the project were as owner/investor, designer, and laborer during 2018.

The house was previously carved into a two unit and used as marginal housing in the most recent past. Our goal was to preserve the vintage features and floors, and reconfigure the floor plan to produce a value-engineered 4 bedroom/2 bath home with extensive outdoor living space and an ideal setup for short-term rentals. Furnished in a industrial Victorian style with animal motifs, all accessories and furnishings were designer sourced, most locally.
